FOCUS?

It has been a while since I have posted, but hopefully I am back in the blogging "saddle".



I have been doing a lot of reading and research about focus.



Focus can best be explained by discussing your garden hose.  If you turn the water on and just watch it run, it can water your flowers or your garden. But if you put a nozzle on it, you focus (or harness) the water in a stream that can easily clean your driveway or wash the outside walls of your house.



If you focus on your goals or your to-do list, you harness the power so many times more. If you focus on your priorities instead of easy things, like reading the mail or watching TV you will put a nozzle on your hose and achieve more in less time.



Winners have a to-do list, a daily to-do list. Winners face the challenges of the hardest things first along with the most prioritized things.

So a clearer rendering of what Jesus meant in Matthew 24:4-5 would be: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many shall come claiming to represent Me, saying that I [Jesus] am the Christ, yet shall deceive many.” That is, they would proclaim Jesus as the biblical Messiah and would claim to be His representatives—but they actually would be part of a massive religious deception.
It is these people—false preachers and teachers claiming to be Christian—who would proliferate and deceive ever more people as the end of the age neared.

The apostle Paul later affirmed, in a Christian context, that “evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). So not only do they deceive others. These false teachers themselves are deceived.

It always amazes me that people that go to a meeting, a class or a seminar don't bring a pen or paper. Can't they at least try to be prepared?

Without dedication, there can be no PROGRESS.

IMAGINATION

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

I call myself Mr Goal for a reason. I am an expert goal setter.

Movies like 2007's The Bucket List raised awareness of the need to set goals. The term "Bucket List" was added to the lexicon a lot stronger than I thought it would.

Yes, I have been a goal setter since the 1970's when I took a Personal Development Course in the Jaycees Chapter I was in in Pleasant Hill, Iowa (Des Moines).

I later became a franchisee for the "Adventures in Attitudes" program. Just a little while later, I became affiliated with SMI, Success Motivation Institute in Waco, TX, led by Paul J Meyer.

Many different Toastmaster Clubs later, I am no longer afraid to speak in public.

Goals...One thing is for sure, if we don't set them we can't meet them or fail to meet them. Get started. Do It Now.

Year end 2016 Rants

12/30/2016. It's time I started writing my blog again.

This week Barack Obama in his final days as President, expelled 35 Russian Intelligence Agents from the country. He did this while on one of his lavish vacations and with about three weeks left in his Presidency.

My first question is this: if they were Intelligence Agents in our country, why did it take an election loss to expel them. 

2. The emails that were hacked and released were very damning to Hillary and her closest campaign people.

In addition, he and our UN Ambassador failed to protect our friend Israel in the UN vote. We must support Israel. It is Biblical. 

Weight Update

Dec 30, 2014, 254.5 pounds, 46% Body Fat.

My initial response was, what happened? I tried so hard and gained one pound over the last week?

But, the proof is in the body fat percentage.

I gained one pound, but lost an incredible 12 pounds of body fat.

Pure Trim products are keeping me full and yet allowing me to lose the body fat that is crushing my heart and other organs.
